Outer Space and Bo's Hot Malt Bo's Hot Malt has not been approved by NASA as of this writing. However: we have concluded that there is nothing to prevent an imaginary beverage from being used in space, by any astronaut whatever; and, while imagining that Bo's Hot Malt exists, why not imagine yourself in outer space?
By the way, there is an interesting trip to Mars in the same novel that features Bo's Hot Malt, just prior to a sooner-or-later-to-be celebrated list of everything on earth. Bittersweet cacao does have a certain "tang" to it.
